Today’s visit takes me to Ridgewood School, delivering Premed Anatomy sessions to their A Level students.

These sessions are specifically designed for students considering careers in medicine, dentistry, and other healthcare professions providing a deeper level of anatomical understanding beyond the standard curriculum.

Bringing Advanced Anatomy to A Level Students

Throughout the day, students will work directly with real anatomical specimens, exploring key systems in greater depth and developing a more clinically relevant understanding of the human body.

Students benefit from:

  • A deeper understanding of anatomical structure and clinical relevance

  • Exposure to real human specimens, bridging the gap between theory and practice

  • Insight into what studying medicine and allied health courses actually involves

For many students, this is their first experience of real anatomy at this level, offering valuable context as they prepare for university applications and interviews.

Supporting Future Medics

Sessions like these are designed not just to support A Level Biology, but to strengthen students’ confidence and motivation as they take their next steps towards competitive healthcare courses.

Providing early exposure to real anatomy helps students stand out, both academically and in demonstrating genuine commitment to their chosen career path.

A Focused and Engaged Cohort

It’s been a pleasure working with such a focused group of students at Ridgewood School, with excellent engagement and thoughtful questions throughout the sessions.

A big thank you to the staff for organising the visit and continuing to invest in opportunities that go beyond the classroom to support their students’ ambitions.

If you’re planning Premed Anatomy sessions for your A Level cohort, now is the ideal time to book particularly if you’re looking to secure funding and preferred dates.
