Who is it for?

The EXPLORING ANATOMY event is designed specifically for GCSE students studying science with a view to study further education courses towards medicine or other healthcare professions. This is event is matched to core components of the GCSE specifications and captures all specifications offered across the UK. The experience assumes a basic level of biology as expected in year 8 or mid KS3.

How long does it take?

There is 4 hours of content delivered around your normal breaks and lunch time. Events typically begin at 0900 and end at 1400.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Teacher facilitated, digitally led live events 2026-2027

For 2026-2027 we've changed our event delivery format to teacher facilitated, digitally led live events. This change has allowed us to reduce the price of our live events, offer greater date flexibility to schools, reduce the minimum number of students taking part, reduce internal disruption for students and teachers as well as offer built in CPD for teaching staff.

Upon placing a booking you tell us when you would like to hold the event at your school or college. When booked and confirmed we will deliver the dissection specimens, PPE, workbook packs, certificates and teaching resources to your school or college 2-3 days before you chosen date. We will provide a log in to our digital dashboard where you will find the video based sessions led by The Dissection Guy 'Sam Piri'. As the teacher you will lead the event operationally in school, playing the video to the students. Sam explains and demonstrates the theory and dissections in stunning HD filmed from our London studio.

All you need to do is take delivery of the event box which comes via our temperature controlled courier. Set up the tables as per the briefing pack and play and pause the video to your students through the event. You can run the event at a time that suits you and take breaks when you need to by simply hitting pause.

 

After the event simply clean up and place the materials in the bin.

Common Questions...

​

How long do the specimens last?

The specimens will come via our courier and chilled and packed on ice, they will last at least 4 days in ambient conditions so they can be stored in the prep room until you are ready to use them. They are ice packed so do not need refrigerating.

How long can I log into the Digital Dashboard for?

Your Digital Dashboard log in is valid for 48 hours from when you first log in giving you two full days to cover the content. The videos are IP protected and cannot be downloaded or exported.

Do your team attend the event in person?

No, we deliver your event equipment to run the live event, you as the teacher operationally deliver the event with Sam's videos running the sessions -it's really easy and we provide a simple step-by-step guide to ease the day!

​

What's the minimum number of students needed to take part?

We are now able to deliver small events for just 20 students taking part, the maximum number we recommend is no more than 100 at any one time.

Your event with us includes:

  • Pop up Dissection Lab installation

  • Delivery of all porcine dissection specimens, Ovine available by request

  • Delivery of PPE, aprons and disposables

  • Delivery of Printed colour learning aids

  • Delivery of Printed colour certificate of participation

  • Access to the Digital Dashboard log in to stream the expert led anatomy theory and dissection instructions

You will need to:

​

  • Choose how many students you wish to run the event for

  • Ensure that all students are given the pre-event briefing (available from the portal)

  • Arrange for your site team to set the chairs and tables up as per the floor plan the evening before the event, we recommend the hall or gym space for more than 30 students but a lab or classroom is fine.

  • Ensure that the room you plan to use has a computer/projector/smart-board with internet access and a working sound system

  • Arrange for a skip or bin to be made available for all event waste after the event

2025-2026 Cost & funding:

​

The Drop Cost is £500.00 plus £15 per student taking part.

​

Example:

An event for 25 students would cost £500.00 + (25 x £15) = £875.00

​

WHAT DO TEACHERS SAY?
