ABOUT THE DISSECTION GUY
Hi, I'm Sam Piri, known as The Dissection Guy, a qualified teacher (QTS) with over 15 years of experience in delivering hands-on anatomy and physiology education. I am a pioneer in practical dissection-based learning having brought anatomy to life for over 1.3 million students across schools, colleges, sixth forms, universities, and NHS trusts throughout the UK.
As the only academic in the country offering in-person dissection workshops matched directly to major UK exam specifications I deliver an unmatched educational experience designed to inspire students and support teachers with truly immersive learning.
My previouswork attracted widespread media attention, with me being featured on the BBC, Discovery Channel, CNN, Fox News, ITV, The Times, The Guardian, The Independent, Daily Mail, and more. I have shared stages with leading experts including Lord Robert Winston and Professor Brian Cox. In 2017, the BBC’s Head of Science Programming described my delivery as "exceptional and compelling."
I received investment from BBC Dragons Peter Jones and Deborah Meaden, scaling my former training company nationally over nine years. Following the long-term impacts of the pandemic the business closed however I now operating independently, I works face-to-face with students across the UK, reigniting their curiosity for anatomy, health, and clinical based careers.
With a personal track record that includes over 24 full human body dissections, 38,000+ specimen dissections, and events delivered at more than 2,000 institutions, My programmes are both academically rigorous and unforgettable.
